Chicago has a mayoral election on Tuesday, but the
results won't likely be known for several weeks or without a runoff.
On Tuesday, nine candidates will vie to become the next mayor
of Chicago. Included in it is Mayor Lori Lightfoot,
who was chosen in 2019 and is running for re-election.
A contender must obtain more votes than 50% in
order to win the election outright.
