The England international was first detained on suspicion of rape and
assault in January 2022 after a lady made charges against him
He was again detained on suspicion of sexual assault and making death threats.
A trial date of November 2023 had been set for Greenwood
who was also charged with attempted rape, using coercive and
controlling behaviour, and assault causing actual bodily injury.
The 21-year-old, however, is now free to resume his football career after all criminal accusations against him
